Francesca Langenberg – LEADx Presenter
Francesca is the Mobile CT Project Lead, Melbourne Brain Centre at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and has an extensive background in Computed Tomography, having been the CT Supervisor at Royal Melbourne Hospital for over 25 years. During that time Francesca managed a team of 44 Radiographers across five CT Scanners and was responsible for selection, training and evaluation of CT Radiographers. Her involvement in CT focused research studies has included the coordination and design of imaging protocols, liaising with physicians, researchers and study coordinators. She has also undertaken post-graduate studies specialising in Computed Tomography, graduating with honours from British Colombia Institute of Technology.
Francesca played a key role in the implementation of high-end Cardiac CT services at RMH and has been responsible for the education and training of Cardiac CT radiographers, development of an adult congenital service and instituted Radiographer protocolling of Cardiac CT requests.
Francesca is the lead CT Radiographer on the Melbourne Mobile Stroke Unit and has devised a unique training program for MSU Radiographers, written the Operations Manual for imaging on board the vehicle in collaboration with Ambulance Victoria and plays an active role in research activities. She is also an elected member of the Board of Directors for PRESTO (Pre-hospital Stroke Treatment Organization).
Francesca has been an invited speaker at numerous conferences at an international and national level.
