The Victorian Branch of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT), along with our colleagues from the New Zealand Institute of Medical Radiation Technology (NZIMRT) warmly welcome delegates for the 4th combined ASMIRT-NZIMRT conference, to be held in Melbourne, 14 to 17 May 2020.

The theme of “Vision” offers a broad range of options and for us, a focus of innovation, imagination and ideas. Our mission statement is to deliver a conference that provides high quality content and delivery of presentations. We also have a focus on presentations that introduce new and emerging technologies and techniques and clinically applicable content, in a venue known for its inspirational design, maximising delegate opportunities to gather and network.

Melbourne is often regarded as the nation’s capital for sports, fashion and culture. It is home to a vibrant arts scene and is world-renowned for its great coffee, uber-hip cafés and amazing restaurants and nightlife. We look forward to showcasing our beautiful city to all friends, old and new and to provide a conference that embraces the vision of all who attend.

The conference will have a dedicated app which will include the full scientific program, links to abstracts, exhibition information, social program, webcasting, gamification and more. This will be made available to event participants the month before the Conference – you will be emailed a link to download the app post-registration. It is the best way to keep up to date with everything happening across the conference.

FAQs .

What date is the event?

14-17 May 2020

Preconference workshops will be held on Thursday 14 May. The Student Conference will be held across both Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May. The main conference will be held from Friday 15 – Sunday 17 May 2020.

When does abstract submission close?

Abstract submission for the main conference will close on Monday 11 November 2019. The Abstract submission for the Student Conference closes Friday 6 December 2019.

When does registration open?

Do I qualify as a student?

At the time of abstract submission, to submit to the student conference you must be:

  • A currently enrolled student in an undergraduate or Graduate Entry Masters (GEM) MRS program. This includes honours students.

At the time of abstract submission:

  • If you are currently undertaking an AHPRA Supervised Practice Program (SPP) you must submit your abstract to the main conference for consideration.

When will CPD certificates be mailed out?

CPD certificates will be issued around 2 – 4 weeks after the conference. Delegates will need to log their own CPD for this event.

When will the program be announced?

The conferences committee hopes to announce the conference program in early 2020. Please refer to the key dates page for more details.

I am an ASMIRT member. How do I apply the member discount to my registration?

Simply select the ‘yes, I’m a member” option and provide your ASMIRT member number where requested when registering for the event and the discount will be automatically applied.

How do I change my registration details?

Log back into your registration and you will be able to update any information, or email conferences@asmirt.org for assistance.

I can no longer attend the conference. How do I request a refund?

Refund requests need to be in writing and emailed to conferences@asmirt.org. Please refer to the refund policy for details regarding the refund process.

How do I add a workshop to my registration?

Log back into your registration at any time and add any workshop or social event to your registration.

I want to change my accommodation, who do I contact?
