The ASMIRT 2022 conference will be a hybrid event, with people both attending in person and online. The conference will feature an online system with features to communicate with attendees who are at the event and online. Technology is continually improving in this area. We are set to roll out a great virtual platform for those unable to travel to Cairns. Some sessions will only be available ‘live’ at the conference venue, while others will be available both in person and online. The online platform will be available for all those who register to attend the conference in person.
ASMIRT 2022 will offer attendees an array of discounted tours, so you can get to better understand the nature and people of TNQ. There will be opportunities to book into tours with other conference attendees, a great way of meeting people before or after the main conference. These tours will range from day trips to opportunities for short tours in the city.
Active travellers can snorkel or dive on Australia’s greatest natural wonder, the Great Barrier Reef, cycle or hike through highland plateaus, discover hidden rainforest waterfalls, go white-water rafting along raging rivers, or even skydive over the sparkling blue ocean. Get involved in a conservation project, tee off on a tropical golf course or pitch your tent and spend a night in the bush.
If you’re looking for something a little more laid-back, there are food and wine trails, fascinating museums, markets bursting with locally made goodies, and some of the best spas and wellness retreats in the country.
