A message from our ASMIRT 2023 conference convenor.

We are very excited to welcome you to the International Convention Centre nestled within the vibrant Darling Harbour right in the heart of Sydney, gathering on the traditional lands of the Gadigal clan of the Eora Nation. We have an incredible line up of influential international and domestic speakers and aim to bring you an energetic, engaging, and educational program. Build your knowledge, skills and network and share your passion and expertise. Come join us and be the change!

Our Conference theme – Champions of change: Honouring the past, Embracing the present, Shaping the future – honours those who pioneered our professions; acknowledges how we, as medical radiation science professionals, continually adapt to embrace the present; and emphasises how we work collaboratively to shape our professions into the future.

An important change for our 2023 Conference is the inaugural integration of the ASMIRT Student Conference with the National Conference. This will provide an exciting forum for students to further develop and enhance their
learning and technical skills by having the opportunity to present at and participate in the Conference. Our future industry leaders will be able to attend workshops, presentations and social events, networking with those in their respective fields of interest.

We look forward to Honouring the past, Embracing the present and Shaping the future at ASMIRT 2023, and hope to see as many of you as possible at our National Conference in Sydney.

ASMIRT Sydney 2023 Conference Committee

On behalf of the ASMIRT 2023 Conference Organising Committee, we invite all medical radiation science professionals and students to submit abstracts for oral presentations, poster exhibits and specialised workshops.

We are looking for you, our champions, to submit abstracts that
resonate with our Conference theme. Topics can include any aspect of:

- medical radiation sciences
- education
- patient care
- service delivery
- management
- leadership and more.

In addition to this, we are also interested in presentations on specific modalities including:

- magnetic resonance imaging
- computed tomography and positron emission tomography
- general radiography
- sonography
- nuclear medicine
- change management
- clinical case studies.

We encourage our students to share your learnings, research and insights, with a mentor by your side. Presenting at ASMIRT 2023 is an excellent way to demonstrate your capabilities to a prospective employer and to develop your skills in this area.
