Call For Abstracts And Workshops

On behalf of the ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 Conference Organising Committee, we invite all members of the medical radiation science (MRS) professions to submit abstracts for oral presentations, poster exhibits and workshops for next year’s conference, which will be held in Adelaide from 27 to 30 March.

This conference will be combined with the New Zealand Institute of Medical Radiation Technology (NZIMRT), providing exceptional opportunities for international networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Comprising an engaging program, this conference will include a mixture of invited speakers, proffered papers, vibrant physical posters and specialised workshops.

We, the organising committee, look forward to receiving your abstract submission and to building a wonderful scientific program for the ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 Conference.

Ethics approval

Does your abstract comply with the Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research (2018)? Click the resource links below for more information:

Not sure which conference (main or student) to submit your abstract to?

Student Conference - At the time of abstract submission, to submit to the Student Conference you must be a student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Graduate Entry Masters (GEM)* MRS program. This includes honours students. For international submissions you must be a student, not studying post graduate qualifications.

Main conference - At the time of abstract submission if you are qualified practitioner or a PhD candidate you must submit your abstract to the main conference for consideration.

*A Graduate Entry Masters (GEM) means that you are not qualified as a radiation therapist or diagnostic radiographer. The undergraduate qualification can be in nursing or allied health and then you undertake a course as a “second” undergraduate qualification. These courses are referred to as Graduate Entry Masters.

This is to allow for time for the program to be available for early bird registration, and publication of the conference abstracts through Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences (JMRS) online. Should one of the presenting authors not register by this time, the presentation may be removed from the program. A co-presenter is permitted on the basis that they have registered for the day of their presentation.

Publication Policy

All abstracts accepted for presentation (Oral or Poster) will be published through a JMRS abstract supplement, and available through the Conference online system.
