The Medical Radiation Practice Board regulates more than 19,000 registered diagnostic radiographers, radiation therapists and nuclear medicine technologists in Australia. The National Board is comprised of 8 practitioner members and 4 community members drawn from across Australia. The National Board's primarily role is to ensure the safety of patients and the public. The National Board works with international regulatory partners and stakeholders to develop evidence-informed, risk-based policy and practice guidance for the profession.
