It is our great pleasure to welcome you all to the 22nd Asia-Australasia Conference of Radiological Technologists (AACRT 2019) in conjunction with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy’s 14th National Conference (ASMIRT 2019), to be held at Adelaide Convention Centre, from 28-31 March 2019.

The theme of ASMIRT / AACRT 2019 is Better Together - patients, professionals, possibilities. The theme is focused on bringing people together to share information on the latest technologies, of smart ways to use the resources we have for the best possible patient outcomes, and of course to socialise together and make long term friendships and networks – to better our profession, our patients and for our future possibilities.

The combination of the ASMIRT 2019 Conference and the ISRRT’s 22nd Asia Australasia Conference of Radiological Technologists allows for additional international networking and collaboration.

The conference will feature a comprehensive industry exhibition showcasing the latest medical radiation science technologies, up to six concurrent technical sessions over three days, international keynote speakers, a student conference, a vibrant and inclusive social program and a variety of pre-conference workshops and site visits of some of the southern hemispheres leading medical research institutions, all within easy walking distance of the Adelaide Convention Centre. This conference promises to be a great experience where we will all be ‘Better Together”.

This will only be available for event participants, you will be emailed a link to download the app post-registration. What date is the event? 28-31 March 2019.

Preconference workshops will be held on Thursday 28 March. The Student Conference will be held on Friday 29 March. The main conference will be held from Friday 29 - Sunday 31 March 2019.


When does abstract submission close? Abstract submission for the main conference closed on 21 August 2018. The Abstract submission for the Student Conference closes 31 October 2018.


When does registration open? Please refer to the key dates page.

 
Do I qualify as a student?

At the time of abstract submission, to submit to the student conference you must be:

  • A currently enrolled student in an undergraduate or Graduate Entry Masters (GEM) MRS program. This includes honours students.
  • At the time of abstract submission: If you are currently undertaking an AHPRA Supervised Practice Program (SPP) you must submit your abstract to the main conference for consideration.

This also applies to student registration.

When will CPD certificates be mailed out?

CPD certificates will be issued around 2 - 4 weeks after the conference. Delegates will need to log their own CPD for this event.

When will the program be announced?

The conferences committee hopes to announce the conference program in December 2018. Please refer to the key dates page for more details.

I am an ASMIRT member. How do I apply the member discount to my registration?

Simply type in your ASMIRT member number when registering for the event and the discount will be automatically applied.

How do I change my registration details?

Log back into your registration and you will be able to update any information.

I can no longer attend the conference. How do I request a refund?

Refund requests need to be emailed to conferences@asmirt.org  Please refer to the refund policy for details regarding the refund process.

How do I add a workshop to my registration?

Log back into your registration at any time and add any workshop or social event to your registration.

I want to change my accommodation who do I contact?
