Sharp Shooters: Mastering LINAC-Based Stereotactic Radiosurgery

Synopsis: This workshop will navigate theoretical and practical considerations for Linac based stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).  Led by a multidisciplinary team, the workshop encompasses topics including equipment technology, physics concepts, quality assurance (QA), treatment planning, and practical tips and tricks to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of the Elekta and Brainlab Treatment and planning applications. 

Participants will engage in an interactive planning case on the Monaco Treatment Planning System, applying theory to practice on a clinical case.

Learning outcomes: 

• Understand the value of essential technology to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of SRS
• Learn about Elekta’s High-definition Dynamic Radiosurgery and how you can optimize treatment delivery and planning
• Learn to generate and use a robust planning template, leveraging Multicriterial Optimisation (MCO) for Brain SRS
• Physics considerations for SRS treatments such as MRI requirements, off-axis concerns, margin determinations and interpretation of patient-specific QA results
