Co-producing service improvements: Using findings from the Larger Bodies in Radiography (LBinRAD) project as a template for change

Facilitator(s): Amy Hancock, Fay Manning

Synopsis: Drawing on the findings of the Larger Bodies in Radiography (LBinRAD) project, this interactive workshop will explore how data can be used to identify, plan and implement service improvement.

Focusing on audit, consumer and stakeholder engagement, delegates will consider approaches to co-producing meaningful changes that enhance patient experience and service delivery. Through practical discussion and shared learning, participants will develop skills to identify improvement priorities, design audits and evaluation activities, and support sustainable change within their own organisations.

Learning outcomes:

  • Describe a range of service improvement approaches and methodologies that can be used to improve patient experience and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement using patient experience, audit and other service-level data.
  • Apply principles of co-production to engage consumers, clinicians and other stakeholders in service improvement activities.
  • Select appropriate tools and approaches to support service improvement.
  • Develop an outline plan for a service improvement relevant to their own practice setting.
