We are excited to announce Dr Ben Bravery, who is a Doctor, Advocate and Author of The Patient Doctor as the Student Conference Keynote Speaker for ASMIRT 2027.
Originally a zoologist and science communicator, Ben became a doctor in 2018 after a stage 3 bowel cancer diagnosis. He is now a psychiatrist working in Sydney and regional NSW.
Ben speaks about cancer care, medicine and medical education, and is committed to advocating for change in Australia's healthcare system. His memoir, The Patient Doctor, was released in 2022.
