ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 Program

Attendees at ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 can look forward to a diverse lineup of speakers covering various scientific and non-scientific topics. The program will include engaging invited speakers, interactive workshops, and social functions for all interests.

Thursday 27 March: Arrive in Adelaide before March 27 to participate in a full day of hands-on, pre-conference interactive workshops. These workshops will run from 9 AM to 5 PM and vary in length, offering options of 1.5 hours, 3 hours, or 6 hours.

Friday 28 – Sunday 30 March: The main conference spans three full days and includes a blend of plenary sessions and up to five concurrent sessions, featuring over 200 educational and technical presentations. On March 28, there will be a Student Conference, organized by students for students, which is a full-day event. Throughout the conference, delegates will have access to a large exhibition space of 2,000 square meters, showcasing over 40 vendors. The program also includes networking opportunities, such as the Friday Welcome Social Event, breakfast sessions and activities on Saturday, and the spectacular Gala Dinner on Saturday night, along with much more.

We are delighted to announce that the draft program for ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 in Adelaide is now available! We have up to seven rooms running concurrently through parts of the conference.

CPD Endorsement

ASMIRT will log CPD hours for all full and student ASMIRT members attending the conference.

INVITED SPEAKERS

Dr Andrew Dwyer

Andrew is a diagnostic radiologist with appointments at SA Health and Jones Radiology. His expertise spans cardiac, neurologic, musculoskeletal and liver imaging with a focus on bringing novel methods into clinical application. Key research interests include validation of quantitative tissue mapping, modelling of bone stress and multimodal imaging of Parkinson disease. He leads translational research programs for Australia's first photon counting CT, first ultrahigh gradient 200mT/m MRI and the deployment of portable MRI.

Jamaine Fraser

Jamaine is driven to improving health outcomes, with a particular focus on whānau Māori. He worked as a radiation therapist at the Waikato District Health Board, treating many whānau on their cancer journeys. Identifying an equity opportunity in the service, he moved his focus to influencing the development of the Health Equity and Improvement Group at Waikato Radiation Oncology Services, which he subsequently co-chaired.

Jamaine has held many advisory and development roles, including as a Senior Advisor in Te Aka Whai Ora and co-leading the National Allied Health, Scientific & Technical Workforce Pipeline Programme; leading the Te Pitomata Grants programme, providing strategic advice for a national framework development with medical physicists, health workforce development and cancer screening. He is also the Co-Chair of MiRO, a voluntary not-for-profit organisation that is supports system shifts for both kaimahi and whānau Māori within the radiation oncology setting in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 Social Committee is working diligently to highlight all that Adelaide has to offer and create a social program that complements our international conference.
