Two South Australians have joined the list of speakers at ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025.
Professor Andrew Kurmis, Orthopaedic surgeon: Professor Kurmis specialises in joint replacement surgery and managing major trauma, including limb salvage procedures. With nearly 100 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters and other scientific works, he has received several prestigious national and international awards. His key research interests including technology-assisted arthroplasty, artificial intelligence applications in surgery, and diagnostic orthogenomics.
Daniel Johnstone: After being diagnosed with cancer in 2016, Daniel has dedicated himself to educating healthcare professionals and students through regular presentations, collaboration on pedagogy, and facilitating the sharing of cancer stories in the Cancer Voices SA ‘Survivors as Teachers’ program.
