After being diagnosed with cancer in 2016, Daniel has dedicated himself to educating healthcare professionals and students through regular presentations, collaboration on pedagogy and facilitating the sharing of cancer stories in the Cancer Voices SA Survivors as Teachers program. He is involved in various cancer advocacy and advisory groups and has served as the Program Coordinator for Camp Quality. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Health Science, a Bachelor of Psychological Science, and a Master of Clinical Chiropractic. He is currently pursuing a PhD.
