It is our great pleasure to welcome you all to ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025, the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy’s 19^th National Conference held in conjunction with the New Zealand Institute of Medical Radiation Technology (NZIMRT). Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Kaurna Country, Australia, from 27 - 30 March 2025, ASMIRT/NZIMRT 2025 is a must-attend event for medical radiation practitioners (MRPs) across Australasia, including those in medical imaging, sonography, radiation therapy, and nuclear medicine.

This conference promises exceptional opportunities for international networking, knowledge sharing, and professional collaboration. Our theme for 2025 is Divergence & Convergence | Opportunities & Focus. We will explore how divergence allows us to discover and delve into the diverse innovations in our field, such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and particle therapy, while convergence will focus on uniting practitioners from Australia, New Zealand, and beyond to enhance collective expertise and patient outcomes.

We warmly invite all medical radiation professionals—CT, MRI, general, angiography, and veterinary radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine practitioners, mammographers, radiation therapists, students, and colleagues—to submit abstracts for oral presentations and poster exhibits. This is your chance to showcase the breadth of medical radiation sciences and incorporate the patient perspective. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences (JMRS).

The conference will feature an engaging program with invited speakers, proffered papers, dynamic poster sessions, and specialized workshops. The event offers a unique opportunity to extend your learning beyond the conference, integrating new insights into your daily clinical practice.

Arrive early on March 27 to participate in interactive workshops designed to enhance your skills through hands-on experiences. Over the following three days, from March 28-30, immerse yourself in specialized educational sessions led by expert speakers.
