This interactive workshop explores the challenges and opportunities when treating/imaging patients with larger bodies, drawing on recent research findings. Using a fishbowl discussion format, participants will explore problem statements grounded in real-world practice. Small group brainstorming, structured by implementation frameworks (such as Consolidated framework for Implementation Research, CFIR), will generate practical solutions and strategies for clinical practice, education, and service delivery. By combining research evidence with collective expertise, the session aims to move beyond discussion and towards actionable insights. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of both the barriers and feasible solutions to improve inclusivity and patient-centred care.
Learning outcomes:
- Describe key challenges faced by individuals accessing services with a larger body.
- Engage in critical discussion about practical dilemmas using the fishbowl format.
- Apply an implementation framework (CFIR) to generate solution-focused strategies.
- Collaborate in structured group work to identify priorities for change in practice, policy, or education.
- Contribute to a synthesis of solutions and create actionable next steps to take away.
