{"id":17122,"date":"2019-10-08T14:43:09","date_gmt":"2019-10-08T04:43:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conference.asmirt.org\/2020\/?p=17122"},"modified":"2020-02-25T14:28:28","modified_gmt":"2020-02-25T04:28:28","slug":"amanda-perdomo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/conference.asmirt.org\/2021\/amanda-perdomo\/","title":{"rendered":"Amanda Perdomo &#8211; LEADx Presenter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Amanda Perdomo is an Australasian College of Physical\nScientists in Medicine (ACPSEM) certified diagnostic imaging medical physicist\n(Radiology) and is on the register of qualified medical physics specialists.\nShe also has extensive Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) experience in a large\nhospital environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, Amanda works as the medical physicist and RSO at\nThe Royal Children&#8217;s Hospital in Melbourne and as a senior consultant medical\nphysicist with Medical Physics Specialists. Additionally, Amanda holds a\nteaching appointment in the Department of Radiology at the University of\nMelbourne. She has previously worked at Alfred Health (Medical Physicist,\nActing &amp; Deputy RSO) and Austin Health (locum Principal Medical Physicist).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amanda particularly enjoys collaborating in a\nmultidisciplinary environment to develop and achieve best practice culture.\nWith a background in education, Amanda is also passionate about communicating\nmedical physics concepts to different audiences.<br>\nAmanda also volunteers her time as the chair of the ACPSEM radiology specialty\ngroup, a member on two working parties working on reinvigorating general X-ray\nand fluoroscopy quality assurance in Australia and New Zealand, and a member of\nthe ACPSEM advisory forum<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conference.asmirt.org\/2021\/program\/#program_invitedspeakers\">Return&nbsp;<\/a><\/strong>to the Invited Speakers page\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amanda Perdomo is an Australasian College of Physical Scientists in Medicine (ACPSEM) certified diagnostic imaging medical physicist (Radiology) and is on the register of qualified medical physics specialists.
